Why use tools?
Tools are created to help and assist you along your journey. Whether you’re working construction or trading NFTs, tools maximize your efficiency in your craft.
As humans, we have limitations. We’re limited with how much energy, mental capacity and brain power that we can use on a regular basis.
The reason why programming is such a great skill to learn, is that you can create repeatable actions that are completed even while you’re asleep.
The problem is that not everyone is or wants to be a developer, so I’m thankful for people who create valuable tools that we can all use to enhance our experience.
Below you’ll find a bunch of tools that I use regularly, which will help you trade like a whale!
I HAVE NO FINANCIAL INCENTIVE FOR SHARING THESE TOOLS
How to use this information
I’m going to list some of the primary features that I use on these platforms
Many of them have multiple uses but I won’t list everything for the sake of not being repetitive
There are multiple categories they can and do fit into, so keep that in mind.
These are not recommendations to purchase anything, just giving you the information to make decisions.
Ultimately you have to decide if you think it’s worth it based on your own goals and bankroll.
Categories
Some of the tools have multiple uses, so I’m listing them under their primary categories. I’ll mention what they are and how I use them.
Analytics
Aggregators
Portfolio/Wallets
Announcements/Updates
Chrome Extensions
What’s Minting?
Discord Bots
Free vs Paid?
“Do I have to pay for these?”
This is a fair and common question, though in this world you usually need to spend money to make money.
Free tools are usually just good enough, while paid tools will upgrade your experience
I’ll be highlighting which tools are free and which are paid by using the icons below
Free 🔓 / Paid 💰
Sites that offer free and paid features will have both icons
Analytics
I use these tools to view the most relevant data surrounding NFTs
Seeing as there’s no one tool that has everything I need in one place, these apps collectively make up most of my research
NFTGo 🔓
Discover, analyze, and trade NFTs faster and smarter than anyone else, aided by in-depth analytics and intelligent toolkits.
This site has some of the better data on NFT projects, it’s a good resource for digging into a project based on the numbers
Data for market overviews, marketplaces and whale activity
Data about holder distribution is very useful to see how long people hold as well as how many of each NFT they have
The Mutual Holders and Blue Chip Potential metrics are really interesting to monitor as well
Example: If a bunch of Apes or Punks buy into a project, it’s a bullish signal
I use this site daily to keep track of projects, the UI is clean and gives me most of the information that I’m interested in within a single frame.
This site is by the RektGuys team of OSF/Mando who bring big value to the space
They’ve been adding a lot of updates and features that are making it even more useful
Free: Very useful for quick looks at floor prices and listing% changes day to day
Paid: Has some useful reports evaluating NFT projects written by the team, along with other features
I personally use the free version more than anything, but I do own some Degen Access Passes that give me access to some of the paid features
NFTInspect 🔓 (Shutting Down Soon)
Your go-to destination for Web3 Social Intelligence
Connect with your NFT community, analyze community growth, see where influential people are moving, and more.
I use this site to show me how many people are using PFPs on Twitter from each project
It’s useful to see which projects are having an increased/decreased presence
You can also see how many people are talking about specific upcoming and recent mints
Aggregators (Buy on Multiple Platforms)
Blur 🔓
THE FASTEST NFT MARKETPLACE Ditch slow. Execute trades faster and make more money on Blur.
Blur became one of the most popular sites in the market almost overnight, with a terminal like feel marketed to pro-traders
I like that they provide a few unique features that others don’t, especially the speed of their live-updates on the collections page
I do most of my NFT selling/listing on here
They have a pretty cool feature where there’s listed bids, similar to a buy wall
You can see how many bids are placed at different levels. Meaning that if price of that collection drops, there will be instant liquidity and buying power.
NFTNerds 🔓💰
All you need for NFT flipping in one place. With us you are always one step ahead.
Free: Use our free tools to track mints and trending collections.
Premium: Unlock the real-time feeds, advanced charts, watchlists, and custom alerts with NFTNerds Premium.
This is one of my favorite sites for looking at analytics of a project, though I have to use the paid version. The free version is basically just tracking Mints/Trending like Icy.Tools
It’s not cheap, but it’s what I like to use when sniping projects and looking at the sell wall and momentum charts.
It’s also very useful to filter by traits and see what the trait gaps are
Meaning that if I filter by X trait that is 0.1 eth floor but the next one up after this is 0.2 eth, there’s a trait gap of 0.1 eth
There’s also a calendar that shows you when projects are revealing
Gem🔓
Discover & buy NFTs across all marketplaces
When it comes to sweeping floors, this is my go-to tool. They allow me to sweep across multiple platforms
I like looking at their Sweeps tab, which shows me active sweeping/bulk-buying by others
Portfolio / Wallets
WGMI 🔓💰
WGMI only shows the most actionable, accurate, and relevant information that matters to your NFT portfolio.
Free: One of the best and most customizable project listings page that I’ve seen
Premium: Portfolio tracking, project explorer dashboard, bots and much more
This is my most used NFT tool hands down and I’ve spent the most time on this tool compared to any others
I love looking through my portfolio and seeing what’s up and what’s down. It allows me to quickly manage and analyze my assets
They have the most sophisticated project explorer that I’ve seen
Their Trait Floor Gaps section is amazing, showing you all of the traits within a project and the sales data as well as the next floor price if that trait was bought
The Trait Floor Gaps tab shows traits with the highest gap between the floor price and the price of the next highest listing on Opensea.
Rainbow (Mobile Only)🔓
Rainbow is a fun, simple, and secure way to get started with crypto and explore the new world of Ethereum. You can use Rainbow to manage and display Ethereum-based assets.
This has become my favorite wallet to use. MetaMask is the most used wallet for ETH users, but I’ve had a lot of issues with it.
Rainbow allows me to use my phone browser (Safari) and connect with WalletConnect so that I don’t have to leave the browser.
Easy crypto swapping and a fluid UI/UX makes this a very useful app.
You can claim ENS username through the app.
Floor (Mobile Only)🔓💰
Everything you need and nothing you don't.
This is one of the tools that you’ll see in my upcoming newsletter post, it’s one of the better wallet/portfolio tools out there and is currently invite-only.
If you were already subscribed, we sent out free invites to our T&T subscribers, courtesy of Chris Maddern the founder of Floor
One of the cleaner UI/UX for portfolio apps, that also provides estimated values of your assets
Free Floor Pass claim for Tech and Tranquility Readers
Click Here to claim a free invite to use this app
This will be open for 72 hours and is on a first-come first-serve basis!
Announcements/Updates
Website and App
They have one of the best breakdowns of NFT news that I’ve seen in the space
They do a great job staying on top of current events in Web3 and I try to read the Morning Minute by Tyler Warner everyday
LifeBoat 💰
Lifeboat cuts through the noise of Discord and Twitter so you never miss another update.
This site is also part of my daily routine. They do a great job at curating announcements for my assets (across multiple wallets) so I don’t have to live on Discord.
Some of the updates they provide include:
NFT Claims, Mints, Allowlists, Giveaways and more!
The passes paid for themselves already by updating me on things to claim from various projects
Follow the top NFT whales to earn!
This is a cool app that allows me to conveniently track NFT whale trading activity
I’ve been able to find new projects based on other’s activity
Their FOMO and Next BlueChip categories are very unique and show you data based around who’s buying projects
There’s a Blue Chip Index to try and predict the popularity of projects
Chrome Extensions
I like using this because it shows me the rarities of NFTs in the collection as well as the activity feed
It also points out the rarities and floor prices of the traits right on the NFT on OpenSea
This also shows me rarities on OpenSea, but allows me to place Mass Bids and Listings if I wanted to
This is a paid extension but does a good job showing me collection info at the top of the screen on OpenSea
It also points out the rarities and floor prices of the traits right on the NFT on OpenSea
NFT Go 🔓
A powerful tool that helps you gain a more seamless NFT experience on Twitter
You can see key info about a project directly on Twitter by project’s or individual’s accounts, instead of having to switch to other tabs
# of Holders (and BlueChip Holders), # of Whales, Volume, MarketCap, Floor Price
View NFTs and project activity
Sidebar:
Shows upcoming drops, linked to Twitter accounts
Set calendar reminders
What’s Minting?
This section is pretty self-explanatory, these tools allow you to track live-mints in an easy-to use way
I don’t use these as regularly as the other tools, but they do serve a useful purpose
Mintify 🔓
Discord Bots
These bots allow you to check different metrics of collections and NFTs
They also provide you alerts for different trading activity
NFTGo 🔓
I know that there are a lot of other tools out there, even ones I use fairly regularly but I wanted to list the ones here that I use the most.
